Get some Culture…..the Young Professionals are offereing a deal for you in conjunction with the  Houston Symphony and House of Blues.  Using Gershwin’s original jazz band arrangement, the Houston Symphony will bring the classic ode to American urban life.  Rhapsody in Blue, considered to be a landmark of American Music, has been featured in movies like Woody Allen’s Manhattan, and Disney’s Fantasia 2000.  Come and marvel at this masterful fusion of jazz style and classical form.  Click here to call and get tickets for $25 bucks + a free pass to the House of Blues Downtown afterwards.  Show starts at 8pm at Jones Hall.   And if you miss Friday night, then you can still go on Saturday and Sunday.  Just not for $25 bucks and a afterparty…LOL

Artopia Review Party at Reign. Starts at 8 and goes on until 11pm.  Click here to view the flyer and print as your invite.  This should be an awesome night on the town if you love art.  Artopia seeks to celebrate Houston’s best artists, musicians, fashion designers, culinary masters and cocktail creators. Enjoy complimentary food, live performances and art displayed by the grant winners.

Wine at 9 at CAFE 4212.  Get in free with this print out until 10pm.  This place is HeckaCool for a before club chill spot.  Big ups to this spot for being black owned in 3rd ward and doing things classy.  The atmosphere is crucially nice. I can only imagine how awesome it is in the summer on the gorgeous back patio.  If you’re grown and sexy, this is the place for you to get a glass of wine and listen to some Neo Soul.  Keep it low key before dropping it like it’s hot at the club…LOL

Check out this event on the cheap.  It’s Wonderland and if you go on Saturday, you can get in to see this Amazing New Musical for $10 bucks.  All you have to bring is a new Teddy Bear to support the Alley’s non-profit partner, The Osito Foundation.  Check it out here.

Get there by noon with cash or check and you can purchase tickets only at the door.  Don’t forget your Teddy Bear!

Charlie Murphy…You know who this is.  Rick James’ Favorite Murphy Brother, “Darkness”.  We’ve seen him once before and he is actually hilarious.  He doesn’t just focus on his success on the Chapelle show or being Eddie Murphy’s brother, but when he does….you’ll be laughing until you can’t breathe.   Check him out all weekend at Improv at the Marqe’.
