Saturday, August 15th, 2009-Free Production of  THE WIZ

This is definately a childhood favorite of ours and The Miller Outdoor Theater will  be doing a production of it this weekend.  “Come on and ease on down the road” with us.   We’d love to see you there.

Monday, August 17th, 2009 – Free Screening of Post Grad

postgradI think many of us know how Alexis feels after graduating from college and then wondering “Now What?”  We all came out of school with visions of granduer that we’d walk into our dream jobs on the first try.  Surely after struggling with picking a major and studying late for those exams, I’d know my purpose and exactly what I wanted to do when I grew up. Ladies,  I think we’ve all realized that we’re not grown yet and this is just apart of your Twenties that tend to be so Trying.  

Post Grad, the newest FoxSearchLight Movie will be giving a free screening at Edwards MarqE at 7:30 pm.  Get there early.  Check out the link below to sign up for this movie and join us at the screening.


Wednesday, August 19, 2009-Mos Def Concert at HOB


A House of Blues Concert at 9pm.

Mos Def Presents: The Ecstatic Tour featuring Mos Def and Jay Electronica, produced by Garden Grown and Guerilla Union, in association with House of Blues

House of Blues Houston http://www.livenation.com– If you are a citicard member you may be able to get his tickets for $5 plus any fees.  It’s better than paying $40 for standing room only, but I hear this is an awesome concert if you like beats and flows.

Sunday, September 6, 2009- Family Fun Day in the Park

If you love the 90’s, then you gotta come to this!  They are featuring Bel Biv Devoe, Mint Condition, and EnVogue.  We’ll be dancing and carrying on, so come and kick it old school with us. 







The 5th Annual Family Funday in The Park presented by Radio One will take place at in the at Sam Houston Race Park (http://www.shrp.com/).
